Stand up Comedy. Page 27

Last night I did a gig with the forum's very own Stu R and he rocked my balls so hard I think he made them pregnant. One of the best laughs I've ever heard too.

Maybe we should one day do a BSG gig. A topic is created at 8pm, comedians get 5 mins each to post jokes, the topic is locked after 30 mins. I'd only charge £120 to perform in this. Bargin. (only joking about the payment of course, but it may be fun to do an online gig?)

Just spoke to Jongleurs, am booked in for the next round in Leeds on the 29th, bit of a commute

Congrats scottidog and Kaboosh - when's the final?

Cheers Dude, final is in Camden on the 23rd November.

No need to congratulate me Stan. I'm not in this comp.

Awwww, Scotti, I'm disappointed.

Don't know why, but I thought you might have been a stand-up, in fact I'd convinced myself you were Frankie Boyle.

I'm very close to my first gig Angie, finishing touches.

How is yours going?

:)

What a compliment, thankyou Angie.

Oh, I'd love to come and see you, let me know when / where you're on.

I need a serious kick up the arse, meant to be doing some writing tonight, but seem to be finding any excuse not to.

Well keep going, I liked your set you posted, you have strong material. I try to get down a gag, or story a day, something that pops into my head a day.

Why did you think I was Frankie Boyle?

Seconded.

Thanks Mark. (The honest, brutal mentor)

Sheesh, Leeds is a bit of trek, but will deffo be at the finals in Camden.

The guy I was up against was Mark Restuccia, he's brilliant, so I'll be rooting for him too (obviously as a fellow BCG-er, I'll be cheering for you the most ;))

No, you rocked MY balls.

Ooh ooh do the rape gag, do the rape gag for the forum....PLEASE?

I'm pretty sure I've tested the rape alarm gag on this crowd before, Stu. If anyone's up for hearing it live they're welcome to come see me at Desperately Seeking Stagetime on Wednesday at the Coach Makers on Marylebone Lane. You going to be there?

Got an email from the Hackney Empire New Act competition saying "Do nothing" more or less. It also said NO TIMEWASTERS ... so am going to rack up some more hours on the circuit pretty sharpish.

Found lots of the open mic people I've gigged with's blogs and twitter pages ... seems there is a "scene".
