Well it is interesting to note how many of the BNP's strongest critics are immigrants or descendants of immigrants to GB. It is of course what most immigrants wish for, a govt that lets so many others in that soon they will make up the majority of the Nation and be able to tell the natives what to do. Hain should remember how Britain gave him refuge when his own country wanted to imprison him.
Nick Griffin on Question Time Page 29
Not sure what you mean Alfred. My great great grandfather was an immigrant, does that make me non native in your eyes?

I would say you're not a native. I just can't see you running around in a grass skirt with a spear.
But lord how I've tried!

I know a lot of Britons of ethnic stock who want to see curbs on immigration.
Probably not in my eyes but in the of Nick Griffin and his liutenants it might. My main point was intended to be about the ones in power over us - eg. Hain, a South African born British citizen and Straw, a third generation East European Jew British citizen. Both men are coming out strong in favour of multiculturism and attacking the BNP as racists. Both though have ignored the BNP's most salient questions about the way it has radically changed our society, economy and even culture and demoted being British and especially English to something we should almost be ashamed of. With more immigrants rejecting our own 'native' British culture to carry on their own imported one, our own culture suffers our own national pride is challenged and many feel as if we are being forced to be multicultural and nationless to keep the new staus quo and this infernal PC govt happy. The immigrants who immediately make an effort to adopt traditional British customs are an exception and should be applauded. Even Griffen hinted at such a thing the other night.

Well, I'm so pleased that the British could not be accused of doing that.... sorry... what's that India, Rhodesia, Hong Kong, Singapore, Jamaica, Canada and the rest of the Commonwealth, you'd like your indigenous culture back ... ooops....
In view of our government's comparative willingness to admit immigrants, I find myself wondering what their reasons might be for doing so. Is it because the more people there are here, the more 'important' we'll seem on the world stage? Or maybe there's some impending catastrophe we've not been told about, and we need to bolster our population by any means?
Personally, I'm not that bothered if people come to Britain and don't adopt our culture.
That was when political correctness didn't exist and I'd say every single one of those benefited from our patronage. In short we civilised them, that is what we were good at. We wouldn't do it today, but that is what great nations did back then. They'd like their indegenous cultures back? Okay then ask them to give us back our cricket, our rugby, our billiards, our military system, our language, our curry making skills! And people hate us for being so flaming helpful.
Are you named after Alfred J Kwak, Mr Kipper?

Governments are spending more money than they bring in via taxes. Birth rates are dropping in western nations, thus worsening the shortfall. So the governments see the millions of immigrants as millions of taxpayers and just can't say no. Our social security and welfare programs are like giant pyramid/Ponzi schemes. Citizens receive more than they ever paid in, so more and more new participants are always needed. It's never sustainable, so somewhere down the line you have a bunch of people who pay into the system and don't receive anything back.

No,it just they need lots of tax paying bodies on cheap wages to buoy up the empty bubble that is our economy.

You're quite funny. Have you ever thought about writing comedy?

Literacy and life expectancy dropped in India during Empire. The Indian Rajs would probably have built the railways without our help, like the Chinese et al. The British Empire went out of it's way to destroy African literacy and culture. You roll around in the crap this country has produced like a proud pig in excrement. Oh and I'm a 4th generation immigrant guess I'd better shut up massa'

Britain's innability to acknowledge the strengths AND the faults of Empire, has reduced it to some eternal naughty school boy. The Americans who talk about slavery and the Germans who freely talk about Nazisim are far more confident than us. Because they freely accept that you can't free slaves without having them in the firstplace. No one can make the English ashamed except themselves.
That's not PC it's common sense.
Quote: Alfred J Kipper @ October 24 2009, 9:38 AM BSTOUR GOVT is inviting them here!!! THAT is the crucial difference and why so many Brits are quietly enraged and/or worried now.
Our government is inviting a small number of highly skilled workers. When you're prepared to train as a nurse/socialworker/surgeon/paratrooper etc then you can moan.
The rest they didn't invite, it's just the immigration system is a mess.
As for other European nations. It's the price of having anyone to trade with outside of the mostly bankrupt commonwealth.
