Really Nil. Good for you.
I've added 1000m on the rowing machine to my gym workout.

Well done you too.

Mmm doughnuts...
I'm limited to what working out I can do (still need surgery) but I walk about 4 miles 3 or 4 days a week, do pilates, and jog occasionally. Our family does all natural food, fresh veggies and fruit whenever possible and very little red meat. I've always been healthy, but the events of the last couple years were a real eye opener to make me want to do even more for my kids and me.
I had a gym membership for a year, but didn't go as much as I intended to, and it was stupidly f**king expensive so I didn't renew it.
I walk pretty much everywhere. I try not to have crisps and things like that too much, but tend to fail miserably. I hate melted cheese on anything other than a pizza, and can't stand stuff like mayonnaise and other similar dressings, so my burgers (etc) are instantly healthier than most peoples'. Ermmmm. Probably some other stuff that I can't remember right now.
And like Nil (congratumalations), I am going to be attempting to walk even more, and to cycle. Yay for me. And for Nil.
I try to avoid any kind of online conflict.

Well a mate told me he'd read that it was only the fishy omega3's which were any good, but he couldn't cite his source, so I can't be sure what he's on about. I know that there are two different kinds of omega3, and that they 'do' different things, but for my purposes, which is to get the balance of omage3 to omega6 right, I thought the plant-sources were OK...until I learn otherwise.
However, exercise and diet is all good and well, but one of the healthiest things to do is to avoid using a road. Getting splattered is extremely unhealthy.
Quote: Nil Putters @ October 24 2009, 2:09 PM BSTI've just started walking (too fat to run) a few miles, hopefully three times a week. Currently 2.6 miles each time. I've done it twice so far this week, next one tomorrow.
I posted a link where you can work out a route and how far it is. *finds*
Good for you bud. Be sure to flex when you walk, and talk to yourself about how awesome your hair looks today, chicks dig that, Ruby told me so herself.
I swear by eating tomatoes every day, flossing your teeth, fresh air and eating and drinking as much as you want but being as active as possible. I'm off to workout for an hour right now in fact...

Me too. Total waste of money.
Thanks. I'll work up to doing more hopefully. Plus my Monday night football.

Cheers Curt, I'll keep that in mind.

You sound like my mother in law who's got abs at age 50.

These increase male fertility apparently.

Phwoar!
I eat lots of biscuits and also cheese sandwiches. I don't do any exercise other than walking, but I do quite a bit of that, especially at weekends.
Apart from cheese and oils I don't think I eat anything with fat in it, other than vegetable fats, which isn't much better I know but still.
We mainly cook as much as we can from fresh ingredients, but that also includes cakes and biscuits
Don't drink, much, but do smoke and erm, I also like to inject cholesterol into my heart every so often. But that's about it.

You're mother-in-law is only 50!

Not much help for me.
I'm still getting tomatoes fresh from my garden every day.
