Healthy habits.

As we seem to have a lot of dieters and people trying to keep fit here, I thought it may be interesting to share our healthiest habits!

For me, I have several. I eat wholemeal and wholegrain rather than white products, practise portion control, and eat a variety of coloured veggies. I also don't ever deny myself a treat because if I do, I think about it all day and then when I cave in, I eat it by the bus load so I'd rather have that quick little bit. I also make a lot of my food from scratch, avoiding ready meals, drink water like a fish, limit my caffiene intake, up my calcium, and I do yoga, tae bo, and I walk and cycle most places. I'm not a stick insect but I am nice and healthy! Pleased

I did start training last year, but gave up because I'm lazy and am quite happy being a fat unlovable mother f**ker.

BAD GAV!

I've just started walking (too fat to run) a few miles, hopefully three times a week. Currently 2.6 miles each time. I've done it twice so far this week, next one tomorrow.

I posted a link where you can work out a route and how far it is. *finds*

This route planner may come in handy to any runners. Plan your route and see how far it is.

Defaults to the US but UK works too.

I eat wholemeal bread!
That's about it.

Me too, I also bake salt-free bread since there's usually about half a g of salt in each slice of shop-bought.

I think it's best to be realistic and aim to cut down on 'bad' things slowly, otherwise most of us will simply rebel in the way you've described. I long ago cut out sweets, crisps and biscuits, but there's no way I could have done it overnight.
Most recently I've started eating Linseeds to raise my omega3 intake, although I'd like to confirm whether they're suitable for this purpose, since they aren't fish.

And I've cut out most dairy, since there's a lot of anecdotal evidence that it is linked to a whole bunch of nasties; it's not proven yet, but I'm not waiting to be sure.

Don't you forge bread?

Heh. Not anymore.
I do rather miss the yummy smells of baking bread.

Linseeds are fine. You can also get omega oils from eggs, pulses, and seeds. Although you may find Flaxseed is better than linseed just because flaxseeds have a larger amount. You can buy flaxseed oil capsules.

But flaxseed oil tastes like shite!
