Windows Movie Maker

I'm having a play with this thing.

I'm not very hot at this sort of thing.

I'd like to get a clip of rocket taking off to add to my "movie"

Question 1 . Is it possible to add movie clips (I'm sure it is, I've just been using stills so far)

Question 2. What sort of files should I be looking for, they all seem to be different types.

Question 3. This will save me all the hastle of understanding file types where is there a great clip of a rocket taking off that I can use! Whistling nnocently

Is there a better bit of software to use than the windows moive maker?

Why not find the clip on YouTube and use a YouTube video converter?

Okay. That sounds good. I was hoping I use U tube. But what is a U tube converter?

I think that'll do it. Sorry mate I'm in work don't have access to all my stuff.

That looks great Gavin. Thanking you!

Hello - have a look at one of these http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=how+to+use+youtube+converter&search_type=&aq=2&oq=how+to+use+youtube

As crap as WMM is, if you practice with it and get the editing tight, you can produce some decent stuff. Try googling tips and tricks. Don't use half/most the transitions because they always give it away you're using WMM.

The best format is probably .WMV But if you use a converter, you should be OK.

Just remember to save your work a lot! As it has a tendency to crash quite often.

Oh, and if you add text to your movie, pick the font carefully or import more if you can figure out how to do that. There are too many nasty fonts captions on YouTube.
