Hi folks, I'm a stand up and comedy writer who has decided that I need even more ways to waste time on the internet when I should be writing and/or ringing around for gigs.
I mostly write one-liners, which I generally try out on www.twitter.com/TonyCowards but also dabble in sketches and am working on several sitcom ideas.
Anyway just thought I would say "hi" and am enjoying a lot of the discussions.

I used to post a huge amount on Chortle but now just check the industry section for gigs and information.
Recently found this forum as I've been trying to write sketches and get into writing for other people rather than just my own material.

Erm...yeah I seem to have got that reputation (I guess doing two Edinburgh shows all about football will do that!) although most of my stand up is non-football related.
Most of the 'serious' comedians I know, as opposed to open spots and 'hobbyists', gave up posting on the Chortle forums a while back when it seemed inundated with trolls and people stirring up trouble, which is a shame as it used to be a fun place where you could joke around and also get useful information.
This place seems much friendlier and I like the fact that people feel like they can put stuff out there with out fear of being jumped on and ripped to pieces.
