Sky News Cock-Up Over Terrorist's "Death"

Nice one, news boy!

I was watching Sky News this afternoon. Then seemed to run the story (along with lots of reaction, including from one of the victims' relatives) for more than 20 minutes.

Natural consequence of the 'Breaking News' culture, I suppose...

Another thing in a similar vein which is annoying, is the habit the news has of telling us what will happen today, in the manner of " Gordon Brown will today tell party members that..." etc.

Death to the media and all its drones!

Lying, scare-mongering, inscrupulous, manipulative f**kwits one and all.

Just thought I'd get that in.

Not for the first time, if rumours are to be believed.

*snigger*

It's true, not for the first time.

Doesn't seem to be there anymore. What was it about?

Surprise, surprise, the media are all now either ignoring or conveniently forgetting that this afternoon their colleagues at Sky News reported the death of released Libyan convicted terrorist Abdel Al Megrahi for nearly half an hour, without first getting any official confirmation of the story.

Sky had commentators (including chief political correspondent Adam Boulton) giving views about his death before they eventually found out that apparently he is still alive.

We have a bad habit of doing that too...

Sky News' "sister" station (Fox News) also did apparently. :)

I don't trust Sky News or the BBC news . .

I'd rather wait for tomorrows Daily Mail to get Jan Moir's take on the situation.

:O

Oh, erm, except for comedy news people - the fantastic, salt of the earth, honest to God folk that they are.

When I read this:

"James Corden to host new Sky panel show"

I thought it said James Cotter.

You're all obsessed with him!
