Phil Cool

The rubber-faced man of comedy. Like many others who were big in the '80s, Phil is enjoying a revival in popularity in the noughties. As well as his comedy, Phil is also an excellent singer/songwriter.

I remember him being quite scary under a green light.

A classic Rolf Harris on YouTube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PyR27rcxi3w

I used to love Phil Cool, some of his impressions were excellent
(Rolf Harris especially)
And his facial contortions were very impressive.

I never missed an episode of Phil Cool when I was a kid, he's a bloody good impersonator. His Terry Wogan and Rolf Harris were especially wonderful. And for some reason every time I hear the word "Corfu" I always think of Phil doing a yawning routine. No idea why...maybe someone can jog my memory?

How old is Phil Cool? It's not on his Wikipedia entry. I seem to remember him saying he was 40, back in the 80's.

Then he's probably older now. Errr

No, he's older than that Tim.

I've got great memories of watching his show with my Dad, back when I was a kid. I remember us both crying with laughter when he did his Larry Hagman impression.

I remember that. Wasn't it some routine about Terry Wogan being one of the lizard aliens from 'V'?

Something like that. Freaky.

I went to his website the other day, and saw that one of his ambitions is to play Jim Carey's Dad in a film (even though he's probably only about 10 years older than him).

He toured with Jasper Carrott back in the day I think

I remember his Wallace (of Wallace & Gromit) impression.

I used to loooove Phil Cool. Me and one of my sisters used to stay up late to watch his show.
