Songs you hate! Page 11

One of the reasons you may not have heard of Morrissey is because he boycotted your country due to seal hunting.

It's not easy watching those helpless seal cubs getting culled, they look so sad and pathetic. So maybe Morrisey fears for his own life?

Here are my most hated Canadian songs. What makes these songs even worse is that they play constantly on Canadian radio because of our Canadian Content laws (yes we have laws forcing radio to play a certain amount of Canadian music).

Image
-Prozzac -Sucks to Be You You will all hate this song even more than the average Canadian when you hear this fake British accent being used to sell records in Canada. This song was on NON STOP in the early 2000's.

Image
-Hedley - Never Too Late Canada has a lot of top notch shitty poser punk rock bands but none top it worst than these supreme douche bags. The singer was something like the last 2 or 3 in Canadian Idol but lost. ANyways this damn song played 10 times a day last summer. *shudder*

Image
-Three Days Grace -I Hate Everything About You It's the most repetitive damn song! arrrg! They seem like decent guys in person but their music is the worst!

-Simple Plan: Addicted More from our never ending repertoire of crap pop punk.

Canada has such good bands, this law clearly doesn't work if it promotes such mediocrity.

All the great Canadian bands you probably listen to are not on most airwaves unfortunately. Instead you find tons of reeeeeeally bad hip hop and pop punk garbage.
The hip hop videos are at least humourous watching douche bags pretending they're rich when you know there is no way any Canadian rapper makes anything near a livable wage.

I believe there is such a law on public French radio, such as FiP, and if you listen, there is certainly a lot of weak music with French lyrics; but there is also a huge diversity of other stuff which puts to shame the narrow scope of the popular BBC stations. There rest-of-the-world makes music which we rarely get to hear in the UK.

I didn't know about France, but yea those types of laws have their benefits and problems for sure, good point.

One that has to be mentioned for being unbelievably awful- So What by Pink.

Hotel California by The Eagles. I just heard it one time too many and something flipped.

Pretty much anything recorded in the eighties

Talking about the Eagles - Peaceful, Easy Feeling. Mum used to play that when she took me to my GCSEs and A levels - presumably to be relaxing but now it makes me want to vomit.

:O

*RC puts on New Order, The Smiths, Guns N Roses, Depeche Mode, Pixies, Stone Roses, Sonic Youth, The Cramps, B-52s, Ramones, Eurythmics, Selector and a gazillion other bands including The Jam*

*RC then gets Christopher Reeves to banish Timbo to the Phantom Zone for crimes against musical taste*

I'll give you The Jam, even if Paul Weller is an immense twat, but the rest are pretty ghastly.

Hotel California by The Eagles.

I have always, always hated that song.

The Eagles are played way, way too much over here and because of this I can't stand any of their songs. Bob Seger, Journey, Van Halen and Aerosmith also fall into this category.

Even Journey of the Sorcerer?

Even Journey of the Sorcerer?

That is probably the only exception and it is only because of Hitchhiker.
