Apparently there was a box containing batteries that was hooked to the underside of the balloon. It wasn't there when it landed, so they're searching for it and the boy. They're trying to ascertain where the box fell off, because the balloon traveled 50 miles and they want to narrow the search area.
Not looking good then...

The news was reporting that last night, yet the Metro this morning didn't say he'd been found. Ooops.
