Quote: Scottidog @ October 15 2009, 8:47 AM BSTHad a bit of a cold yesterday and felt unwell. But last night...
Slept about one hour, I was shivering then I went incredibly hot and then back to shivering. Have a thumping headache, and generally ache all over and actually feel a weak and feeble man.
I wouldn't stand a chance if I was to fight a small child.
Am I going to die...
Drink more water than you can possibly imagine (then realise that is the amount people say you should drink even when you are not ill).
And go on the flu pandemic website or phoneline to get some antivirals. They don't do anything for you unless you take them within a couple of days of getting symptoms but if you take them early they should knock a day or so off the illness.
Whole thing will probably last 5-7 days.
(I am off work with flu myself at the moment)

How do you think he got aids in the first place...
Whenever I used to get colds, I would take nothing, suffer a bit, and get better. Then I tried taking paracetamol, and I swear the colds don't develop so badly, and clear up quicker. I can't believe the paracetamol does anything other than give the illusion of being better, so something's going on with psychology I reckon.
If you feel you're getting a cold the advice of a medical specialist in the common cold is to have a bath as hot as you can stand.
I recommend Montagne Jeunesse Anti cold bath!

Also a chilli or curry is said to help.
I second that and make it a chicken one. The protein in chicken is supposed to help.
This sounds barking but if you feel sick because you keep swallowing phlem, drink coke! Apprantly, something it in breaks the phlem in your stomach down. It really works! Plus the caffiene helps!

No, you are funny and have potential. You just haven't become as disheartened about your talents as us bitter old fools.
I sincerely wish you all the best - with your self belief and perserverance you'll probably go far.
