My ex had a massive issue with me ever being funny. He used to do the odd stand up. I do remember this awful incident when I first met his friends and it was going really well and I was joking and telling stories and then were pissing themselves and I thought it was going well but my ex started to get grumpy and finally as I was telling another story he snapped and told me I was a total embarassment and how dare I show him up. At the time I was humilated and I thought I had done something awful but now I know it was because his friends were ignoring him and were focused on me. They actually loved me but I never got to find that out until we broke up because I was never allowed out with his friends again.
