My mum got a pedigree Golden Retriever (andrex puppy) for £50... because the breeder just couldn't get rid of the puppies she had.

My brother has a Westie, now fully trained and qualified as his Hearing Assistance Dog.
Any dogs we have in shelters are usually gigantic horse size breeds that some moron in a two room apartment got and then couldn't take care of. Or Jack Russells.
