You can be the script writer if you want?

Exeter forensics team headed by the brooding Morracio Caine. Set against a backdrop of simmering spring vegetable soup and horticultural tensions, Morracio's team probes cases similar to those of their Barnstaple counterparts.

It's not a patch on Back to Class though Cool

Bloody hell. This is a long thread.

"Thanks for watching it. I'm glad you think it's "Beautifully shot" as I said before our DOP Josh Coulston did a great job although saying that he was lead by us directors."

I had to have a butchers at this thread as it was so long, and frankly it pains me deeply to add to this discussion - regardless of the cons or pro of the thing, I'd offer you a piece of advice - if you find yourself working at any time in the film industry, and say something like the quote above, be prepared to get punched in the face by an irate colleague. Learn some f**king humility. Most importantly, learn the roles within a film set. If your DP is actually a DP, then he or she is going to resent you for saying he or she "was lead by us directors" - the very fact you're directing and they're shooting the thing means you've had prior discussions on the look - that's the way it works. If they're actually a legitimate Director of Photography, you're gonna find them walking off your set if they heard you saying something as stupid as that. Same goes for any technical role. You can say stuff like that if he's your mate with a crappy DV camera, and therefore not a DP, but you simply will get absolutely nowhere fast with the arrogance you've shown with regards to crew members. You might think I'm a tosspot for pointing this out, but you said you're professional whilst showing a complete disregard for the filmmaking process, regardless of the standard. In the "professional" world you'll find there's very short thrift for uppity first-time creatives who believe they're making a masterpiece.

We've been getting a lot of stick on this thread some deservedly so, some not. The comment was a joke referring to myself and Dan thinking a lot about our abilities. I hope that clears up the matter.

Bloody hell. This is a long thread.

I think it's the second longest critique thread in the British Comedy Guide's history.

It might be in the top 3...

It is 100% in the top 3. I know for a fact it's not number 1 but it's either 2 or 3.

Does this help.

Does anyone know which critique thread is 'the longest critique thread in the British Comedy Guide's history'?

How much is actually critique though?

How much is actually critique though?

True. That's why 'Critique' threads become so long. They're usually littered with 'fights' and insults like, "Who pulled your chain, you interfering fat f**k!" That sort of thing. Angelic

I can't believe this thread is still going.

I feel that Back To Class has been taken too seriously, which is ironic for a comedy piece. After all, as pointed out earlier, it is only a first-year film student exercise project, not a professional product.

I agree with it being taken too seriously but although it's not yet a TV worthy sitcom it's a bit more then a first-year film.

Hands up who expected a response like this? o/

Because this thread has been bumped again, I finally took a look at part one of Back to Class - Thank You for the Music. I'm afraid I only lasted two minutes. The voiceover is really dire and if you are sending this out to show what you can do I'm sorry to say the voiceover is only likely to work against you.
