What? You is a doctor and aint seen Hospital Britannia? It's - er, well, a rather dark, quirky and silly satire of the state of the NHS and England. Starts out with Malcolm McDowell and Mark Hamill (both still young-ish) smoking weed in a van. Leonard Rossiter runs the hospital, while Graham Crowden is the scary professor doing experiments. It was also Arthur Lowe's last film appearance. Easy to see why a lot of people hated it, but I enjoyed it.
Oh God, no! It was Lindsay F**king Anderson, wasn't it? Jesus, I cannot stand his films. F**king miserable upper-class lefty with too much f**king time on his hands. Hated England, despite the fact that no other f**king country would have put up with him making his shit, trite, tedious films.
Cheers, Kenneth, but I don't think I will watch it, thanks.
