"Thanks for watching it. I'm glad you think it's "Beautifully shot" as I said before our DOP Josh Coulston did a great job although saying that he was lead by us directors."
I had to have a butchers at this thread as it was so long, and frankly it pains me deeply to add to this discussion - regardless of the cons or pro of the thing, I'd offer you a piece of advice - if you find yourself working at any time in the film industry, and say something like the quote above, be prepared to get punched in the face by an irate colleague. Learn some f**king humility. Most importantly, learn the roles within a film set. If your DP is actually a DP, then he or she is going to resent you for saying he or she "was lead by us directors" - the very fact you're directing and they're shooting the thing means you've had prior discussions on the look - that's the way it works. If they're actually a legitimate Director of Photography, you're gonna find them walking off your set if they heard you saying something as stupid as that. Same goes for any technical role. You can say stuff like that if he's your mate with a crappy DV camera, and therefore not a DP, but you simply will get absolutely nowhere fast with the arrogance you've shown with regards to crew members. You might think I'm a tosspot for pointing this out, but you said you're professional whilst showing a complete disregard for the filmmaking process, regardless of the standard. In the "professional" world you'll find there's very short thrift for uppity first-time creatives who believe they're making a masterpiece.
