Nice one, and as a further plug my online sitcom: Who's Toby? is starting it's second season this Monday 24th September. Head over to www.whostoby.com and check out the first season if you fancy it.

Cheers ladies and fellas,

Stu

I feel I've seen something funny and leraned something new.

Fish.....who knew? I blame TV.

Awwwwwwww!

Laughing out loud That guy knows what hes talking about, comedians are a bunch of f*cking w*nkers :) Hope this wins, can we vote for it or is it done by nameless suits over a kebab and coke?

It's being done by nameless suits. Nameless suits generally don't like me. Luckily though nor does the general public.

Hang on...

You're good Stuart, you're really good. Stop with the Gervaisisms though, a few times you slipped into your own character, mainly towards the end, when you looked more relaxed and into it.

Well done mate, it's good and should do well, I'd vote for ya.

Very good, good timing, well presented.Voice in background worked very well indeed. :D

That was very very funny.
And it looked good too.
(I didn't personally notice any Gervaisisms.)

Was part of the axe bit ad libbed?

Yeah, I was being too harsh, lol, but I've noticed Mr. Law(s) does this before and it's something I can't ignore, but he did a good job of breaking that habit this time, just like me doing this rhyme.

Gervaisims!?! Is there anything which this bloke hasn't got his name on. What's next 'yuk he Gervaised on my face.'

*thinks about that*....

I know, I know, I tried to resist commenting on that. God knows he doesn't need his name branded around anywhere else. But and let's have Stuart confirm this, he is using some Ricky Gervais mannerisms, even if it's unconsciously.

Still I see plenty of originality in the performance and style.

I think the problem is possibly that it's easy to just assume it's a Gervaisism. To me I was playing a comedian who had almost no knowledge of evolution (much like many friends I have) but still wanted to make a point about it. So to me, when he's corrected he isn't being 'Gervaisist' (new word to use!) but just a bit embarassed and looking to save face.

I think this is a common trait in any proud person and is therefore shared with the particular character that Ricky Gervais presents to the world. However, I don't see anyone drawing parallels with Howard Moon from The Mighty Boosh or Michael Bluth in Arrested Development or even Frasier from... Frasier. All are very different characters but share a similar trait and get flustered and 'Gervaisist' at times.

But yes, it can be an easy path to go down and can be very effective so it's important to avoid overdoing. Thank you for the feedback though, I think I'll do a couple more as I quite enjoyed doing it and all comedy comes in threes.

And to zoooo, no ad-libbing this time.

No, I really liked it mate, I wanna see more, it was but one comment, you are really good and have something here.

Hug?

Okay, but quick.
