There weren't 100,000 though. This figure was based on the viewings of 20 people.
This whole 'viewing figures' stuff is so utterly meaningless I have no idea why anyone would quote these stats as though they counted for anything at all.

Because it's the best we have.

Although your Sky box is connected to the phone line for a reason.

(Admittedly they don't go to the BARB ratings, mind.)

Why did you quote Ben lots of times? Please explain the joke please.

Either it was his peculiar sense of humour, or a reference to the in-out. :)

Sure, but it's still pants and meaningless nonetheless.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh, I get it now! You are smarter than I, Aaroni!

does confuse me when before a new series of a really good show airs the doom-mongers appear predicting that the new run will prove the show's "jumped the shark", that it won't compare to "classic insert name of sitcom".

Firstly, why would you predict that the glory days are all over before even seeing the new series? And secondly, it's as though some people are hoping to be disappointed. Almost like they're fed up of finding the show funny and can't wait to bury it.

I don't think there are too many around here that think this way (and this is not specifically a point about Peep Show), but they do exist and it does seem rather a bizarre, almost sado-masochistic attitude to take.

Excellent! We're reviewing the reviewers now! Ooo, hope I get a good one!

As for the episode, I loved it. Especially in his pants getting punched by Johnson. And Mark's response to it. Predictable, but laugh out loud.

Haven't we always reviewed the reviewers round here? Or am I missing something? As it happens, Chip, I usually tend to agree with your summations. ;)

Mitchell & Webb are on the Graham Norton Show tonight.

Mitchell & Webb are on the Graham Norton Show tonight.

A rare appearance for Webb then. Would be nice to see him around a bit more (or at all).

Does he not like going out?

Seems like it. Mitchell on practically everything, but I don't remember seeing Webb on anything outside Peep Show and M&WL.

Hmm you may have something there Sherlock.

Twas elementary.
