What a Legend

Got into Bowie over the last couple of years.

What a living legend.

David Bowie... Lovey Lovey Lovey

Blue Jean video is my favourite.

Saw him live. Bit of a disapointment.

^ There's even a comedy connection there.

I could only get a really grainy view of that...what was it?

It's a 1989 video for Tin Machine's song "Under the God." Bowie's short-lived hard rock band featured comedian Soupy Sales' sons on bass and drums.

I'd forgotten all about him. Dead right?

Fantastic.

Bowie was excellent in Merry Christmas Mr Lawrence and not bad in The Man Who Fell to Earth. Fun in Extras, except for his behind the scenes interview bit (on the DVD special features), where he pretends to have given ideas/jokes to Gervais, as it seemed a mite too forced to be funny.

He was great in Labyrinth. Oh, and I saw him at the start of The Snowman, when I was watching it with my nephew the other day.

Come on now. He's a brilliant singer and recording artist. I love nearly all of his output including Tin Machine.

Man who sold the world, Hunky Dory, Ziggy, Aladin Sane, Station to station, Low are all brilliant albums.

Black tie white noise is quite an underrated album too.

But come on. He really can't act for toffee can he!

I don't think his roles demand great acting, but he still gives great performances.

Doesn't he wear an awful Christmas jumper in that?

I can't watch that film, it makes me cry.
