All the people I know in Iceland (an admittedly small number) are trying to leave. Sounds like things are dire over there.

A couple of years ago my friend told me to expect to pay $8 for a beer. That was before the economy tanked, so I don't know if it still holds true.

I've always fancied that as well. Has nice rocky landscapes.

Yes...that processed food can cure anything.
Generally, "new" is over-rated. Anything with "new" in front of it is likely to be shit, e.g. "New Labour", "New Scooby Doo", "Newt Gingrich"...
