Look Around You was also a minor classic - both the ten minute shows and the thirty minute shows - but never seemed to connect with a wider audience.

Try as I might, Look Around You (the 30 mins version) just didn't hit the spot for me. Some great moments on there but always felt to me it was bordering on brilliance but didn't quite make it. A bit of a lost opportunity. :(

One of my favs comes from the early '90s and is called Mulberry. It wasn't side-splittingly funny and was really very sweet, which is probably why it has been forgotten. It's out on DVD in America, but – oddly enough – I don't think in the UK.

No, it's not out here. I do have it though. ;)

Does anybody remember a series of ten minute shows starring Norman Lovett of Red Dwarf fame? I seem to remember one had a bit of sadomasochism in, which is always of great interest to me? Was I imagining it or was there such a show?

I'm assuming it was 'I Lovett', which was on in the late 80's. I think he played an inventor or something similar. Sadly, I never saw it, nobody else I know saw it, and it has never been repeated, so what it was actually like, I have absolutely no idea. ?

Oooh, I've got some of that show!

Any good?

I'll let you know when I've watched it. :D

I'm beginning to believe NOBODY has ever watched it. Ah well. :)

They're actually airing it on TV right now - before I moved, it was the part of British Comedy Night where we ate pizza.

the Goodies and Kenny Everette.

I assume I'm the only person who ever watched these shows because otherwise it stands to reason that they'd be out in complete series DVDS wouldn't they?

If I believed for one second that there was some other reason for them not being available, why... I'd just have to kill someone wouldn't I?

Kenny Everett I have a feeling I may have seen some suggestion of releases. Quite a lot of his stuff is available - if you know where to look, of course. ;)

The Goodies. Sigh. It seems Auntie Beeb has a very long memory. An executive at the time of their switch to LWT is said to have vowed that they would never appear on the BBC again. Whilst it seems that BBC Worldwide are quite happy to sell the show overseas, there's no indication as yet that they're planning a DVD release.

Having said that, the excellent folk at Network have released that LWT series. Now just to wait for the first eight - sigh.

Yes, I'm planning on picking that up, but it won't do on its own.

I've noticed all these best of's of both kenny and the goodies, and I'm offended. 'best of' DVDs are for non-commital chumps.

Damn BBC and their out-holdings. about time for a series 4 of the Fast show too.

EDIT: brain fart corrected. (their, is that better?)
