By making a lot of shit since Four Weddings...? Just a theory.
Started to watch Mega Shark VS Giant Octopus last night, gave up half way through, it was that bad and not even good-bad.

This was a movie, right?

Do people feel the same way about his TV stuff?
I went to watch The invention of lying last night, it was frankly 30 minutes too long and the fact that only he could lie got old after about 45 minutes in.
Thumbs down

The trailer I linked did it for you didn't it?
I looked at the actors on IMBD I think the best actor in the movie was once in a toothpaste afvert 20 years ago.

Blackadder, no problems. The Vicar Of Dibley divides people. (He used to be an excellent sketch writer and prose parodist as well.)

I had to go back and read this thread to make sure I hadn't pissed anyone off. But it's the terrible director we are talking about so its all good!

Thanks for the heads up. I was thinking of watching it.

I had a quick flick through it, like you say, "bad and not even good-bad".

I like both of those, his films (after '4 Weddings') are poor though imo.

I like Vicar of Dibley, mostly for the supporting cast and the fact that it's like being with all of my insane extended family without the mental anguish of actually having to get together.
I think I might have read some of his stuff in a modern lit class I took back in college.

I saw it on Friday Night with Wossy.

Perhaps there in lies the problem, he's better over short periods. And Four Weddings works so well because it's essentially five sitcom episodes welded together.

The channel 'Zone Horror' has quite a few 'bad but good-bad' movies on there. Always good with a late night pebble.

It got that much attention! Jesus Christ, it's a piss take at best surely.
