Right, where to begin? Page 3

Thanks for all the 'belated' welcomes. :)

Until they work out how to plug me into the mainframe, anyway. :D

Mick, if you're interested in contributing to show and episode guides, it'd be more than welcome. As Lee says, we're going to be relaunching soon, so keep an eye open as we'll be looking for more writers. :)

Hmm, that might be quite fun. I used to contribute to another site (a general online television information database), but I left when I felt the standards weren't being maintained. Let me know what you guys need help with and I'll see what I can do.

Do you read proper comics then, like Daniel Clowes?

I've not read any of his work. He did Ghost World, didn't he? I've been meaning to get around to reading that, but I have a loooooooong list of books I need to get through.

The ones I mentioned are from the 60's when I was young. About a dozen serial stories each week.

I see though that you mean Graphic Novels - which are really just a way to not grow up and pretend though that they are adult magazines.

I like them too by the way.

Yeah, I really don't want to grow up. I freely admit to my Peter Pan complex. I still have toys on my night stand and Batman and Superman figures next to my monitor. Oh well. The wife doesn't mind so that's good. :D

¡Hola! and Welcome.
Another one for the International count!!!

Woohoo! Eventually we'll run these limeys off their own property! ;) Lock them in a room and force them to write comedy.

Hi Mick and welcomeWave

Hello there Mick, a warm welcome to you.

Yo! :)

I'm not trying to shamelessly bump my intro thread, but I wanted to give another thanks to the those above for the continued warm welcomes.

Random fact to make this post more meaningful: I hated Westerns as a child, but as an adult, I love the genre. :)

Yeeeeee haaaaaaaaaa!

I like a lot of manga myself. Still read the comics for kiddies though! Am so impressed you have superman and batman figures. I beat your geekiness with many toys from the 80's and random kitsch stuff. My home is one big boot sale.

Still got a long way to beat Dannyjb1 though or "The muppets, smurfs, and peanuts man" as the local kids call him.

Hi Mick, must be great for take-aways over there! We have a lot in common, I live over a chinese chippy!

SOREFINGER! That's "Salt and vingear" as shouted at me in our local chinese chippy!

KETCHUPSALAD! (Ketchup and salad).

That'll be my mate Hu Wan Chi

Sorry Mick we're not quite as ignorant as we appear to be... honest!

When I was ickle in Peckham, the local chinese had a cat called "22".

Gulp! 22 was my favourite .. with 'egg fli li' Sick

I still haven't found an appropriate place for my He-Man figures. :)

The muppets I used to love as a kid, but I've kind of grown out of that. The Smurfs are well cool. Smurfette . . . Lovey . . . I know, the size difference. Maybe I could use a cotton swab. Pleased

A Chinese chippy. You know, not being British, nor having ever been there, I have no distinct idea of what a chippy is, other than the fact that A) they must serve chips, and B) it certainly isn't intended to be Chinese. :P So what's it like living above the chippy? Do you get the smell of oil and grease permeating your flat?
