Colossus statue, I love shit like that.
Yes, reminded me a bit of Jason and the Argonauts. That too had some-
Colossus statues.

I like to have it on in the background as a gentle hum, like a special glowing friend. I do like to watch a few special shows like the Sopranos, Generation Kill or Peep Show.
And if I'm back by 4pm and get to watch Star Trek DS9 I;m very happy.
I barely if at all watched any TV in high school or College. I always had something else to do. I'd watch Simpsons reruns when I was eating but that was about it. We didn't have cable and my parents TV was shit.
But not having a TV in the house? I have a few friends who live like that. One is always out in the art scene or partying.
The other is a super active outdoors person who never had a TV in the house growing up. I remember in high school when our Cross Country running coach wanted her to watch a video about running but her family didn't have a TV to watch it on so he had to arrange a TV and VCR for her.
Lastly my weirdo hippie friend who doesn't own a TV out of principle. He spend all his time reading, growing vegetables and brewing beer. Odd hobbies for an early 20 something.
It appears most people like watching The Simpsons whilst eating. I like that Although, I presumed it had something to do with it being on around dinner time.

There isn't a show I've watched more repeats of than the Simpsons. Probably because it played at din din.
We watch the Simpsons while eating, or Spongebob.
I find that I don't have much time for television. In fact, this week I've watched Doc Martin, EastEnders (not by choice) and Blue Murder and a couple of episodes of SpongeBob Squarepants but that's a secret!.
I don't count that as much telly!

In fact, I spend more time on this site than I do watching telly.
Some people think it makes them all superior if they don't have a TV, and they're proud to say so. I don't get it. These same people might also proudly claim to read extensively. TV and books are just two different forms of media, each with their pros and cons, neither superior to the other.
Preeeeeeeeeeeeecisely.
I hate those smug no-TV bastards.
What's more, these days, anyone who says they don't have a TV in the house when they've got a PC with, like, a 22" monitor, is being rather disingenuous.
People who say that don't watch TV are either liars or occupy their evenings with incest, I reckon.
I try to see the best in everyone, but those 'no-telly' freaks get right on my nerves.
Sanctimonious bastards!
