A funny rape story? Page 8

Everyhting is funny sorry but that just is the case. There are no special cases. Saying comedy can't comment on special cases denies it's very core meaning. Comedy is a crude blunderbuss much of the time, it's purpose to let fire on everyone. In a society like ours where rape is happening more and being prosecuted less. Anything that gets peoples attention is better than nothing.

True, and a joke about it needn't offend anyone, it could easily mock something like the laughable conviction rate (6%).

Horrible story. And in terms of how pathetically low people can sink it must be condemned.

The question as to whether or not it is rape isn't particularly a philosophical one. Yes, genetically there is no difference between the two twins so, if they had kept their mouths shut, there would have been no way forensically it could have been determined who had sex with her. These two didn't conceal their act.

Morally (and I would think legally) this must be considered rape, surely? The intent and burden of responsibility lies with the twins who both knew what they were doing. Ignorance of the "switch" by of the woman is not a reasonable defence for their behaviour. They deliberately concealed the truth to her and so she had no opportunity to make an informed choice. She had consented to having sex with one of them, she had not given informed consent to have sex with the second twin. The fact that they have have admitted to the deception is an admission that they deliberately concealed the truth in order for the second twin to have sex with the woman.

If one of a pair of identical twins performed a robbery and the one twin used the fact that he looked the same to provide an alibi which exonerated the other, they would be guilty of conspiring to commit theft, theft and abetting theft. I don't see how it is really any legally different in this case. It's knowledge aforethought.

Somebody should complain to Ofcom. That'll get it in the papers. Then, who knows...

Then maybe I'll get a sitcom off the back of it?

So where can we see this show? I've got Virgin, which section is it under?

Report back and let me know if my ears weren't deceiving me.

I heard it was actually Andrew Sachs they were having sex with.

:D

Poor Mr Sachs, has he not been tormented enough? I would like to take this opportunity to point out that I have never f**ked his granddaughter and have personally chided several men in pubs whom I've overheard boasting about taking her up the wrong'un. I hope this helps to ease Manuel's suffering in some small way.

How could I ignore this thread. (smiley face seems inappropriate).

The term 'slag' and 'type' of girl who goes on these holidays and sleeps with someone they just met (as do 'nice' girls) is neither there not there.

Anyway, I remembered a fairly recent news story about a pair of twins, one of whom was accused of violent assault, but the victim couldn't say which one done it. IIRC both were let off - although I can't remember correctly.

Sorry, as of only this week I stopped getting the 'On Demand', due to the unfortunate fact that I am miserly. Surely someone else gets it?

Technically, you are correct. If a woman pinched my bum in the pub, then technically that would be considered sexual assault.

Identical twins are freaky and indeed deaky - with their weird made up languages, psychic powers and bad taste in clothing - they sometimes consider themselves to be one person rather then two.

Almost every pair of identical twins, both male and female, has a story about them sharing a lover at some point, normally without the lover knowing. Is this rape? Technically yes. Should all those twins go to jail for their crimes? I'm in two minds (unlike the twins).

What they did was quite nasty, but it's not in the same ballpark as the bloke who punches a woman to the ground, rapes and sodomizes her and then laughs and spits on her as she lies weeping on the ground.

Now if you'll excuse me, Moonstone has provided me with good wank material for tonight with his 'blindfolded guess the vagina male rape fantasy' and I must be going.

Shouldn't we just lock up all twins?

Shouldn't we just lock up all twins?

Not all twins, just the weird, creepy identical ones. (My kids are non-identical twins, which makes them normal.)

Identical twins who dress exactly the same, and have the same hair cut, even though they're grown ups, always weird me out. The big freaks.

Surely a harsher sentence would be to make the attractive younger female identical twins appear in hardcore pornography? Sometimes doing illegal acts hopefully.

Oh no, I've said too much again. Whistling nnocently

I like your theory in principle, but I shall have to go away and study the evidence at length before coming to a conclusion.

Of course, the only real use for unattractive, older or non-female identical twins is in medical research.

Did anybody actually use that language in this thread? If so I missed it.
