It was a line about the Ghurkas.

That was a good one! Well done for getting on. I got my first ever writing credit with them last year and it gave me the boost to get quite a few shows.

That was a good one!

I agree. And so did the audience.

Didn't know to post this here or in critique - just wrote down some of the topical gags they said no to in search of mild feedback. Seems a shame to bin them all and history is unlikely to repeat itself (no matter what the Propellerheads say) so thought there would be no harm in sticking them online.

New series of this is coming up now folks, and as we seem to have managed to miss it in the past, I'm trying to put a guide together now. Does anyone know how many series and episodes there have been to date?

I think the last series was number thirteen. Not sure about the episodes though.

Philip said to me that it's the "newslines" he'd like too. You know, the jokey headlines, based on an actual event.

He said to me - "Mister Differ to you!!"

I got one in.
I'm cracking open a bottle of Magners right now.
That's my first ever writing credit, I'm delighted.

Only just spotted this, Steve - Congratulations!!!

I think the last one was series thirteen and had thirteen episodes. The one starting this week also has thirteen episodes. They're obviously not superstitious.

I might have a crack at this again.

Nice to see it back again.
I got some stuff in last time, so I'll be submitting again.

How would one go about submitting to 'Watson's Wind Up'?

How would one go about submitting to 'Watson's Wind Up'?

"Any budding comedy writers who fancy having a go at writing comic newslines and/or quickies are welcome to submit material to Watson's Wind-Up sketches..."
