It's my tenth wedding anniversary this month. My missus is very funny and popular and clever and I still have no idea how I ended up with her.

Your large penis?

Oh, that wasn't on your list. :(

Lime was rude to me on a couple of occasions when they was really no need for it. Just an observation.

I know. they were horrible to me on critique once, but I always think when someone's that mean they either want attention and/or they think they're partaking in the funny taking the pissing side of things and it's gone horrible wrong. I quite liked their semi-depressing avatar of old tube seats.

Another note on the 'clique' - you know you're not in it when people PM you to say they agree with a point you made because they will not or dare not say it on a public forum.

I'm lucky because I have a roof over my head, heating, food in my tummy, free healthcare, enough money to get by, friends, family, clothes on my back, shoes on my feet, running clean water - hot and cold, an education, personal safety, and the freedom to go where I want and to say what like.

Many people don't have these things. The least we can do is realise how very lucky we are. :)

I still haven't built up the courage to post anything on critique yet. I still haven't built up a thick enough skin for that. I'm all about baby steps right now. :)

Don't worry - I think the thing Lime was rude about sold for a few quid. :)

Yay! A postive post!

(though I still have to pay for some health related stuff that other people take for granted - pah!)

Maybe people PM you because they actually care about you and don't want to make you look like a victim, drawing attention from people who may otherwise pick you apart. Maybe in a bizzare and crazy way, they thought they were doing a kind thing, giving you some personal attention when they knew you felt lousy instead of trying to be "cliquey" and two faced which actually wasn't their intention in the slightest and they take great offence to that.

How is that for posting on the forum rather tham PMing? Take a long hard look in the mirror before you come out with unfair comments like that.

All the men on my Dads side started going bald in their early twenties, I'm lucky because so far I still have a beautiful full head of hair! Maybe I'm going to dodge the bald bullet!:D

Nice thread Dolly.

I am lucky because I am finally going back to work tomorrow, which means I can start really sorting my finances out and get myself back on track. I'm back in London which is also really lucky! Also my job is being a toy demonstrator so I get to play with toys all day. There are much much worse jobs than that .

So overall feeling rather lucky

:)

I am, at least till I have more testing done, cancer-free, working my way out of a bad marriage, finally writing the kind of stuff I enjoy and am hopefully good at, being the best mom I can be to the 3 most zany wonderful kids anyone could want, my shitty car is running less shittily, and my hair has grown to a length which is manageable. Yes, I'm lucky.

Yep, doing lots of benefit walks this month. Still feels weird being one of the younger ones though.

That's what the people inside the clique say. :)

Well I said it didn't I? And I certainly ain't in no clique. I even said I felt quite at home even when I was new.

My experience of that poster is that they were quite rude a lot of the time, which then accounts for them supposedly being ignored. I'm sure Lime will be back anyway, they always come back.

Was s/he? They all seemed perfectly friendly to me (at least the ones I read).
