Quote: Jane P @ October 6 2009, 7:49 AM BSTmore than two settings on washing machines
I'd argue this the other way around! How many men know how to operate a washing machine in the first place? I can handle one at a time, but am too scared of ruining my clothes to learn more than 2 settings.
I know one setting on the washing machine and one on the dishwasher, and that's a stretch.
(Actually they're written down on the white board in the kitchen, so I don't 'know' any.)

*Ahem* Created by Sidney Newman (a man!), and kept on the air for so long by mainly (I would assume) a strong male following.

To assume makes an ass out of you...
There is no more to that sentence.

I'm not talking about the girl friendly current run though.
Nor was I!
Just saying we assume an awful lot. There's a LOT of geeky girls out there who obsess over science fiction crap.

Has the Little Chef improved over the past 13 years? It and the Happy Eater (or whatever it was called) were a bit of a blight on the English culinary landscape, although vastly preferable to McDonald's, Burger King, KFC and even Subway.

Top chef Heston Blumenthal created a new menu for them a little while ago. it's not quite rolled out across the country, but from what I've heard it's a vast improvement. I was forced to use one about 10 years ago, and yes it was poor. I'd rather stop at a supermarket and get a good loaf, some cheese and fruit when travelling and have a picnic.

Believe me I would have invented Batman if he didn't exist - that outfit is very me.

Without men though, he'd just be a crime fighting Bat. Like Batfink.
