No, I really was a bad proof reader. In fact I've never found a job that I'm very good at.

That must be a blow.

There might be a joke there somewhere.....
Ian!
You naughty devil.
Quote: Tim Walker @ October 5 2009, 6:48 PM BSTIn other news, I unexpectedly got 20% off the cosmetic dental treatment I had done today. Plus, I've got a Magnum ice cream. It's doesn't get much better than this.
Could do with a bit of that luck. Didn't get 20% off and there's still that much of me root left!
Sitting there with your shiny teeth and your deluxe ice-cream. You sicken me

Not to me.
Quote: Tim Walker @ October 5 2009, 5:59 PM BSTMy great news is that I've finally signed my first proper grown-up writer's contract for a sitcom today.
Congratulations, keep up the good work!

Congratulations Tim, that's brilliant!
Cheers everyone (again). Fingers crossed and we'll see what happens.

Are you allowed to say what it's called? so we know what to look out for, or is it still too early?
How long have you been 'knocking at the door' Tim? When did you start writing comedy seriously? (no pun intended)
Legally I now have to shut up about it, unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on your point of view), as it's in my contract to do so.
I first sent off a serious script 2 years and 2 months ago, so I've been very lucky so far I think. Before then I hadn't written anything since sketches and stand-up at university. Have had a near-miss or two before now and have other things on the boil at the moment, but this feels like I'm finally planting some sort of flag.

Well, I shan't probe anymore! All the best and fingers crossed we get to see whatever it's called on television.
