As for Americans, I will never get my head around their hatred of our football. They say it's boring, but still they love the snore-fest that is Baseball. Don't they get the Premiership over there? Didn't they hear about the 4-3 Manchester Derby from the other week? How could they not find that exciting?

Until you understand the game, it's difficult to see what the fuss is all about, no? You appear to understand American football and baseball about as well as the Americans you're complaining about understand cricket and the Premiership.

if I remember right he has more premier league medals then gerrard and torres put together :)

Well he has no such medal so I fail to see quite how you managed to think that. You have to play a certain number of games before you qualify for medals. So Darren Gibson has a Club Winners Cup medal or whatever the big Fifa competition is and a League Cup medal. Technically that's still more than Torres at this point, but it doesn't really match up to Gerrard's haul. :P

This is true. Most people who hate cricket and say it's boring, at least in my experience, tend to be completely ignorant of the rules and so maybe don't enjoy because they don't know what's going on.

Nani, Park Ji Sung, Anderson, Neville, Foster, none of them are good enough for United perhaps maybe Anderson can cut it but they defo need to replace Van Der Sar with someone of better class than Foster or Kuszcak. What the Rags would give for super Shay eh. CITY till I die

Nani- Definetly not good enough, a poor player
Park- A great player in my opinion, a grafter and does make a difference
Anderson- Great first season, dissapointing second, looked good this season.
Neville- Passed it but a great full-back in his day
Foster- Yes, Ferguson needs to buy a goalkeeper, this man's not good enough.

Test Cricket is quite possibly the greatest sporting contest around.

I know 20/20 and ODI are the new fashionable thing but you can't beat a proper 5 match series.

I agree. 20/20 is good but is a little predictable if the top order don't score many. 50 overs games are a nice mix of the two I think, have a bit of the excitment of both, but you can't beat a test series. Trouble is they're over-doing the game to generate money, with it's new forms and increasing number of competitions.

The seven day series 'straight' after the ashes was just bollocks money-making and nothing more.

Agreed, with the exceptions of women's volleyball and foxy-boxing.

Aren't those two sports exceedingly lesbiany?

Probably doesn't matter. :(

Define "exceedingly"...

Much more than not...

Bloody hell. That is your picture isn't it!

I thought it was some ironic jokey old git.

I'm just tired of all the jokes about football, that I keep hearing on american T.V. shows. The latest was just last night, on Two-and-a-Half Men, when Charlie Sheen said one of the worst things about Parenthood was having to pretend to like "Soccer" for 10 years.

It's bitterness, catskillz, cos everyone else in the world is playing it and no-one cares about their version. It's in the guinness book of facts.
