It's not lovely, and I guess I don't see it as a case of letting my hair down as not being true to myself. People won't like me any more for one night of drinking, especially when I'll go straight back to me afterwards.
I go out with my mates and they get drunk - but I don't. I have only reached "tipsy" once (and that was only last August). I don't see the benefits of getting drunk thus I do not participate... but I still fit in.
Just be yourself but attempt to fit into the jigsaw. 
I tried debating but was too tired for it tonight, and the joining fee is extortionate. Plus, it's quite confrontational and labour intensive, and I'm not sure that's what I want from a society. I'm waiting for creative writing and a few others to get back to me.
