What rare disease do I have today? Page 4

I'm going in a plane for the first time next week. I'll either love it or shit myself. Time will tell.

*packs extra pants*

You will shit yourself. :)

Make sure you do that little seat belt trick with the air stewardess. ;)

My first time on a plane was when I was 19, and you overthink it too much. If you were brought up flying from a young age it's more of a normal, natural thing, I think.

I'm looking forward to it though. A few years ago, I would've shit myself, but my fear of heights seems to have disappeared. No doubt I'll be anxious in someway though.

I don't mind heights in a building or up a ladder. I just mind if I'm not attached to the ground, like in a plane or something.

A hot air balloon tethered to the ground would be great, one floating about on its own would be baaaaad.

It's the idea that between you and a long fall followed by a painful death is wicker.

I have a very strong fear of heights, but I fly dozens of times per year without the slightest discomfort. Standing on a rooftop 15 feet above the ground is far more frightening for me than looking out the window of an airplane.

How long is the flight from London to Amsterdam? Can't be more than 30 minutes in the air, can it?

40 minutes, IIRC.

Probably no-one who's been there will remember much about it.
