Walking... good idea. Are you a physiotherapist, Steve? ;)

Laughing out loud

Oh yes, I'm a right expert me.
I just remember a friends Mum having the same op, not really walking much or doing anything afterwards and it's very difficult for her nowadays.

It's more the fact that I'm the sole responsible adult and trying to stop them both from wandering off and remembering why we're there.

Just realised Its harder to type on my laptop infront of telly.

My belly doesn't act as a shelf anymore.

I'm making you your Christmas card this year ;)

It amazes me - something that seems parculiar to men - but the bigger the gut the prouder they are. I'm getting a bit of a podge and I spent most of my time breathing in now.

I'd post a photo of me I recently found but it is truely horrifying.

Makes him look like a big girl.

Post it!!!

I bet it looks less bloody weird than that man's perfect circularness.

People might be eating though.

My Mum had one of those recently.
Make sure she starts doing gentle exercise like walking as soon as she can.
(but takes it easy of course)

Cheers for the advice - They're starting the gentle exercise tomorrow morning - have a pool there which should help. I think she'll make sure she walks enough - somehow she was managing with the bone completely fused before.

Good to hear that Rob! Did the self-absorbed thing where I didn't read the post above mine before I posted. Sorry! >_<

No probs :) The cold and dark season again, know how you feel!

My Mum had one she was only 58. She had some trouble sleeping at night because she had to keep it straight.

She kept walking in the early days trying to get to the next lampost.

She is now doing brill and you would never know she had it done.

I'm eating pizza, but I, too, can't help but be amazed by the man's perfectly spherical gut.

He's one of those guys who have an enormous belly, but the rest of him is normal sized. I've read that it's a very unhealthy body shape.

Not as unhealthy as this

Not one of my better pictures! But it helps me remember!

Not one of my better pictures! But it helps me remember!

[Dabutt glances down at his own belly and the as-yet untouched third slice of pizza on his plate. He reaches for it and mutters something under his breath about tomorrow ...]
