Yus indeedy

"Why's everything got to be fun? 'Hey, Watson and Crick have discovered the double helix!' 'Did they do it on a skateboard?' 'No.' 'Oh, well f**k off then, I'm not interested.'" :D

OK. Earlier in this thread Aaron revealed he fancied being a historical tour guide, and we all know how keen he is on correcting people's language. Could it be that Aaron is the father of Sophie's baby?

Yeah it was a really good episode. But I thought it was strange that Mark said 'Crick and Watson' not 'Watson and Crick' which is the way I've always heard it, just a tiny detail, not a criticism. I really liked the line 'part of me is dead but most of me doesn't give a shit' when he sold out and did the Sherlock Holmes skit. Tres bon Armstrong and Bain or is it Bain and Armstrong?

I think (as someone pointed out) episode 3 might have been primarily written by Simon Blackwell. I'd have to go back and look at the credits, but Simon wrote one episode of series 5 as well (the one with "gunny"). :)

Is he right? He's not wrong! Yeah, imdb would suggest Simon Blakewell did write ep 3. So well done Simon!

Will I get banned for suggesting? Peep Show makes me think of what would happen if, Bussell and Aaron were in a flatshare

I went to Kent to buy bread!

This is just the funniest thing in years.

Laughing out loud

Jez going to any length to impress Elena is just too similar to him working at that soup kitchen for the homeless to impress Nancy in series 2. I just can't help but feel that the writers are really running out of ideas now.

I don't see why, over the course of six series, a character can't go to lengths to impress a girl more than once. Mark went to that dancing club to please Sophie; does that mean when he grew the moustache to please her, that was showing a lack of ideas? Both were things he wouldn't normally do. Are the times Mark equates wooing a girl to a military exercise endemic of a general lack of new ideas because he's done it more than once?

Well Mark was already going out with (engaged, even) to Sophie when he had the goatee (it wasn't just a moustache - that was in series 1 when he was trying to be like Johnson) so that doesn't count.

Jeez.

Counts to me! :D I think you're being overly picky. If anything, surely what Jez did for her is entirely in character for him, as shown by his past reaction to a girl of his dreams.

Stott: Could johnny smith be The One?
