Once Upon A Time In Peckham - should it happen? Page 6

I did consider buying it on DVD as I liked LOTSW but found it hasn't been released yet. I then caught it for the first time on GOLD and didn't really have any comments to pass. Not a failure but not a success either.

during the war.

:D Nice one Uncle Albert.

I can't believe they made 13 episodes though. That's quite a run (possibly the longest run I know of for a prequel).

This all just seems like a bad idea, but I suppose you never know. Maybe it'll be great. It won't be, but maybe it will be.

:D Thanks.

I'd quite like to be Uncle Albert in some ways. Then again, I've also always wanted to be Granddad. It's a tough choice.

I don't know...

Which do you think is better?

I loved Only Fools and Horses, I liked The Green Green Grass so where does this leave me for third addition...?

Which do you think is deader?

Hate this. John Sullivan honestly doesn't know when to let something go. It's ridiculous. James Buckley looks nothing like Del Boy, and John Sullivan's writing has become weaker throughout the years. If he wanted to still do something with Only Fools & Horses, he should have made a final episode which wasn't rubbish.

I like to go into new things positive, but with this I can't. He's literally flogging a dead (Only Fools and) Horse.

Hate this.

:O

Wait til you've watched it mister! Pleased

You may dislike the idea, the casting, the writer, the further extension of an already over used programme and the general "it's going to happen" news that surrounds it but that's not reason to "hate it", is it?

Nothing much to add except that this new show possibly has the worst name I've ever heard for a comedy, or any show for that matter. "Sex, Drugs and Rock n Chips", it doesn't even flow right. "Once Upon A Time In Peckham" worked fine as it was.

I agree, it's absolutely awful and I don't understand why they changed it.

To be fair we don't really know the main characters Reg and Joan do we?

We know Del, but do we know the young Del or the young Grandad?

It many ways it should be seen as something new.
