Ah. Still I think it's more about a fantasy world, dressing up and role play than a real belief system. I asked Mr Dagger to dress as a highwayman when we got married, but he wouldn't

There's a guy down my way who dress's up as a highway man all the time. he has knee high boots and arse lenght pony tail. I will miss him when someone murders him for his tricorn hat.

Sorry, I may have missed something here - people who aren't particularly religious and get married in a church in front of a God they don't believe in is totally legit? Doesn't that make a mockery of what they're doing?
And what about when a couple of your gay friends get wed? Isn't that too a mockery? What if your gay or straight friends dress up in 'silly' costumes to get married? What if the bride doesn't wear a white dress? Is that a mockery?
As long as the marriage is recognised under the law as a union, does it matter how people get wed?
