O negative blood is considered very useful because you can basically give it (fairly) safely to anyone whatever their blood group. Blood group O negative is what's known as the "universal donor" group. It's saved a lot of lives because it's given in absolute emergencies where one doesn't have time to check the blood group of the victim and get specific cross-matched blood which is safe for them.

Hence it's a blood group that is always in good supply, because it's so important in life-saving situations. :)

Does that mean I'm magic?

I don't think that's what I am though. This nurse was kooky anyway. She kept wanting to put my IV in my right arm, which was the surgery side because she couldn't find a good spot in my left arm.

How much can we get for Rubes on the red market?

My dad is O negative. I should say was he's now Smirnoff positive.

I'm A+, which makes me feel like I've been given a good grade. :)

Blood tests are evil but not as evil as a spinal tap or lumber punch :(.

It pisses me off that they autmoatically put them in the left arm. I'm left handed the bastards! Though if it's for morphine all is quickly forgiven.

I don't mind blood tests at all. Mr Dagger had a lumber puncture and said it was one of the most awful things.

I've had it put in ether in the past.

I had a lot of morphine. A lot.

It is, I was in tears! :(

Is that what you have for giving birth? Or is that something totally different...

Are you thinking of an epidural, a spinal block?

You are thinking of an epidural, Zooo!

If I was giving birth, I'd like to think I knew about it!
