British Comedy Guide

Virtually all the comedians I know are atheists...

Yeah, why not.

The delightfully attractive Guardian columnist and reported comedy writer Ms Ariarrrne Sherine has edited a book called "The Atheist's Guide To Christmas", featuring contributions from Ricky Gervais, Robin Ince, Richard Herring, Jon Holmes, Lucy Porter, David Baddiel, Charlie Brooker, Derren Brown, etc.

(and many more)

To the point, she states, in a Guardian interview: "Virtually all the comedians I know are atheists"

Discuss.

Yet most of them probably still mutter a few words to the sky before they take the stage.

I have noticed that a lot of the comedians I like are atheists.

Blimey! Strewth! etc

I'm not religious in the slightest but I have no problem using any of the religious traditions in my Christmas! Only the ones I like of course.

I've noticed that most of the people I like don't talk much about their religious beliefs or the lack of them.

To the space lizards.

Being an atheist myself, I can relate to the ideas and understandings of an atheist comedian, more than I would a religious one.

Jesusaurus?

Frank Skinner's a practising Catholic.

To be honest I'm fed-up of the likes of Gervais whining on about atheism. Then again, that Robin Ince has a comedy career does rather suggest there is no God.

Other than for Charlie Brooker I would never read anything related to the piss-poor, feeble-minded, confused, self-righteous and frankly deluded Guardian

Wow. Is that true? Got a source?
