Dave Granger has his own website Page 3

Lee I totally agree with the Lisa thing, and you keep saying this, but we have filmed these sketches all in one go, It's not that I'm ignoring feedback, it's that we have them filmed already. Also we don't want him talking about her all the time, a lot of the time it's more subtle, basically almost everything he does is influenced by his ex wife, and his father, who has not been mentioned in any sketches yet, did you pick up on the new sketch, with the line animals are like women... etc. Anyway as I was saying nothing any one has said has had an effect on the sketches so far as they had been shot previous to me joining this site, but the new sketch I shot on Sunday we have tried to listen to what people have been saying, what they like and what they don't. This new one we filmed is just under 9 mins long, it will not be online for a couple of months. a 5 min version will be online for the comedy smalls, but I prefer my 9 minute cut, as we had to lose a lot of really good moments for time.

But don't worry Lee, There is a big Lisa sketch coming up, the next sketch is part 1 of a three part sketch, that's all I'm saying. I know she hasn't been mentioned for ages. And on the subject of Luke, the offscreen character, he has a lot to do in the 9 minute one. Dave's actions directly effect Luke and Luke does the same with Dave to an extent. With a longer time frame as opposed to the two minute sketches we've been doing we could explore there relationship a bit more, making the double act more apparent, and not just butting in to what Dave says. The producer said to me that this should hopefully silence the Luke haters. But we'll see, ha ha.

Mat, you direct quite a bit, don't you? I've heard your name mentioned favourably I think? :)

Yes I direct a lot, I'm a film maker, but I'm still fairly unknown. So I'm not sure if you have heard anything about me. I have won an award for a short film I did, but I doubt if you heard of that. You may have heard of me, and I'm jut not aware that people are becoming aware of me, I hope so :)

Don't worry, it's nothing odd. It was actually through talking to another member here who knows/has worked with you. Interesting to find aspiring directors around that's all. Hope this impressive series of work bears fruit. :)

Sorry to harp on about the Lisa aspect Matt. It's just that - for me anyway - it's that aspect of Dave's story that elevates him above all the other Ray Mears / Steve Irwin parodies out there. To me it shows his vulnerable, sensitive side which makes him infinitely more interesting. I agree it'd be wrong to have the Lisa story in every sketch but for me, I want to hear more.

Again, it's just my opinion and others will disagree.

Great to hear there's a big Lisa sketch coming up, look forward to watching.

:)

Enjoyed it - but enjoyed these equally. There's a lot of it about!

I loved the Q & A section Matey!

I think the voice off camera works really well too. It's a really understated, funny performance. I reckon he's saying what the audience are thinking too in a way. Like when he sticks that grape on his bellend.

That was one of the most bizarre sentences I've typed in a while...

Hi Mat,

Latest couple of vids are in perfect keeping with DG's development. Like others, am looking forward to finding out more about his personal life.

The website is good, but I don't enjoy American spelling when English would be so more appropriate. There's also a couple of 'Your' instead of 'You're' in there - a pet hate of some BCGers. [And don't say 'their' intentional!]

All round, good work.

No these are not intentional. This is down to my spell check always favoring american spelling, plus my dxylexic brain! I'll look for the spelling mistakes and fix em, cheers!
