Ha! That's very true - though Aaron'll probably shake his fist at that.
If you get into cooking, Ian. Don't buy your herbs from Supermarkets. Go to a health food shop or a market if you're lucky and buy it in bulk and it's fresher.
A small pot of dried basil for example is about £1/£2 in Supermarkets.
Specialty stores sell it for about £4 but you get 10x the amount.
But this is only relevant if you intend to do lots of cooking.
OR GROW IT YOURSELF!!
But that's a whole other thread
The leek and potato soup my mum made today was really easy too. She fried off leeks until soft, and then put two medium, peeled, chopped potatoes into the saucepan. She then added chicken or veggie stock, (about a pint and a half, I'd say, but less or more depending on how thick you want the soup.) and boiled the whole thing until the potatoes were soft. She then added half a pint of semi-skimmed milk, and blitzed the soup. It was looovely.
Yes! I echo Scats. I love L + P soup. So much I saying it again.
It would have been brilliant with some roast chicken or chopped fried bacon added in afterwards, too!
I suppose so...

My mum made lasagne, on my request. It was awesommme.
Here's my burger tip, kids: add some parmesan to the mix.

I don't know where these place are though. Even the supermarket's a bugger to get to. Be worth looking around I suppose - but yeah, I hope I'll stick to it and carry on cooking proper food.

Google 'WholeFoods store' (I think) in your area. There's 'Holland & Barret' but that might be on the more expensive side.?

Absolutely nothing
Just a cookery course, that was about it.
