It's more back on home territory, set in Reading in the 70s, apparently about insurance salesmen. It's got Ralph Fiennes in it as well, but beyond that I haven't heard much. (Oh, it was originally going to be called The Men From The Pru, I think.)

I used to live near Cemetery Junction when I was a student at Reading.

That's why it's a dump.

It's probably quite a dated reference thesedays anyway. The phrase "The man from the Pru" probably hasn't been used since the 80s. The only other thing I remember Gervais saying about this was that it was exploring an area and a group of people where the 60s/70s sexual/social revolution never really happened. That could be promising, as it would be back to more white collar Office-type territory.

I heard Gervais saying it was a more dramatic piece than comedy, or something. He mentioned it being a British Saturday Night Fever??

Imagine your drunken 70- something father doing it at a party to a load of sober Americans who have never seen The Office and you'll know the meaning of embarrassement.

I don't think he's the lead though, it's about some young-ish men. A coming of age type deal.

Toy Story 1 & 2: 3D Double Feature trailer.

I've already watched the crap out of those movies. I don't think I could sit through two in a row as awesome as they are and all.

I only posted it for the trailer really. I still enjoy both films though. :)

Nil has a Woody but Curt doesn't get a Buzz.

The Invention Of Lying (Ricky Gervais) gets a slight pat on the back:

And a severe kick in the nuts:

So something for both sides of the Gervais divide there!

For those who are interested, Ricky Gervais being interviewed about The Invention Of Lying - plus other stuff - by Simon Mayo, broadcast on Five Live yesterday (iPlayer - interview recorded on Tuesday 29th Sep).

Ricky Gervais Interview - Five Live

The interview starts at 0:35.50/3:00.00. :)

Empire gave it a one star review and called it "Sgt Bilko bad". http://www.empireonline.com/reviews/reviewcomplete.asp?FID=135490

Must admit, the clips I've seen of it do look pretty dire. Shame that his film work can't match his TV work.
