What happened with Bill Wyman is a good point to raise. My own guess is it had something to do with tabloid morals of the time - not that that they have changed a huge amount, but in the same era that Wyman was shagging an under-age girl who he later married, a national tabloid was counting down the days before revealing big-titted bikini-clad 15-year-old Maria Whittaker to be 16-year-old topless stunna Maria Whittaker.
(If it wsn't Maria Whittaker, it was someone else - you get the idea)

Actually I think a good sign of maturity for a teenageer is to have the self-respect not have sex, in most instances.

When a under 16 year-old has a baby are they allowed to be the legal guardian of that child - given that they are a child in the eyes of the law?

Anyway, I hope I've cleared up my opinion; the law is there to protect vulnerable young people from being abused and exploited and that's right. But it is very blatently ignored by many teenagers it would seem.
What's worth noting in one's attitudes to these sorts of issues, is what happens when one becomes a parent. I started to become increasingly right-wing as regards paedophiles the moment I became a father - to the point that thesedays I won't even allow them in the house.

I'm not a fan of political correctness, but if that's how people wish to be identified, so be it. I'll do whatever it takes to stamp out as many embers of racism as I can. I'd feel silly asking people to call me an English-American, but small concessions aren't aren't much to ask if they ease tensions and bring people together.
