BCG Meet up 2009 Page 123

Just something that amused me. I had been toying with the idea of doing a BCG avatars one, with "loves the cock" being 'what it really means' for every image. But that would be childish.

I think you'd get in trouble.

I'm sorry hun but that doesn't make it acceptable. I know you were nice enough to take the image down but it shouldn't have gone up in the first place. Wheter you like it or not, those pictures were meant to be private to a certain degree and while I wouldn't have a go at you for figuring out Bill's password.

I'm sorry but I have a limited sympathy, I'm by no means siding with Godot but you have a photo taken of you and you then put it on the internet, you have to take on the risk of it being leaked to people on a public forum!

Outside of the Witness Protection Program message boards, none of the online communities I've visited have been so uptight about showing their faces in public. Why all the secrecy? Haven't all the security cameras loosened you guys up a bit by now?

We go about wearing masks and shin-length black coats in order to avoid being seen.

Besides, we - and those we know - don't have to see what might be caught on CCTV systems.

But what if someone else takes the photo and puts it on the internet?

Personally I don't care there's enough pics and films of me looking like a total idiot online. :)

That's why I like to block as many pics of me as I can. If I ever make it to a meet, I am bringing a big ass fan!

I don't mean a fat guy with a banner.

Challenge accepted, but I really want to watch a film now, then read, then kip. So will do it later.

A fan with a big ass then?

Sorry but it really did hurt at the time. I don't mean to have a go at Godot or everyone here but those who gave me a hard time and poor Danny too can officially now f**k off.

Wave

Just for the record, I don't really have anything against you, but it was the principle of it. Basically what you're arguing is that your feelings are more important than those of people who didn't want their photos shared. Sorry Ruby, but how does that work exactly? You don't like being upset, and we all understand that, but what about the other people?

Um, I didn't put my picture on the Internet Paul. In fact, we were told that our pictures would be in a password protected area restricted to only those who attended the Meet. If I'd known my photo was going to be put on a public message board so idiots could make hurtful comments, I wouldn't have agreed to appear in any of the photos.

I see that your picture is in your avatar Paul...Hmmm, perhaps I'll think up some 'hilarious' comments about your physical appearance. Won't that be fun?

I don't think if they really wanted to, they couldn't post those pics but it's a judgement call. You can make yourself unwillingly unpopular.

I'm going to take Aaron as an example as we know he has little confidence. If I took a picture of Aaron, I could post it on here but at the same time, I would be aware that it would make him uneasy, the idea everyone can see this pic and while he may have been happy for me to take a pic for my own use, the internet is public and worldwide and anyone could have access to it and I wouldn't want to upset him like that and he wouldn't be happy with me for not thinking about that when I knew he had a confidence issue.

I'd also upset those he is close to here like Mark and Zooo who would be upset with me for doing that to their close friend and boyfriend.

I'd also upset those who sympathised with his situation and then you have a problem!

Yep, that's more or less 'it'. I think.

No one is arguing with that but as it was said before, it tends to be a choice to not upset some people who are very shy. :)

Anyway, mistake get made all the time. No one is perfect.

Zooo is trying to convince us Aaron and Mark are not sausage jockeys :)

It's not working....

Laughing out loud

I have a big white fan, I may bring it and NO ONE WILL KNOW WHO I AM!!! MUH HA HA HAAAA!

Quote: Dolly Dagger @ September 28 2009, 2:17 PM BST

Although RC did look like someone, but I can't think who.

Roger Allam!

I'd prefer not having my picture taken in the first place. Being open about one's identity isn't that easy for some of us.

I'd hate to feel I had to further censor myself as my identity was common knowledge.

God knows the Penguin would be around to kick Alfred in the plumbs in no time.
