I live pretty close to Buffalo, where OJ used to play, and you wouldn't believe all the support he has from people around here.

The OJ murder trial is still a racially sensitive topic. Most white Americans think he was guilty while most African-Americans believe he was innocent.

It's crazy here though. It's not so much a black/white issue as it is a fallen sports hero who couldn't possibly do that issue. And I actually live in a very prejudiced area of NY.

If most black people think OJ are innocent of killing his wife then either they're thick, sooo biased against a largely white judicial service as to be blind or furthering the idea that they have the biggest chip on their shoulder since Harry Ramsden deep fried his first potato and thought 'I know I'll have some fish with this'.
All of which I find a little hard to believe. That however does not make it untrue.
Polanski has a lot of friends and admirers. It would be interesting to know if fifth rate hack directors like Michael Bay or McG would have so many people clambering for clemency.

The last two are correct to a certain extent. I've read that 10% of young African-American males are in prison, so there's an understandable wariness when it comes to the criminal justice system.
And when will you get the other 90%?
I read a depressing report that says the average African-American male will spend three years of his life in prison.
