When I lived in Aus, it was a case of "will this kill us if it bites us!" and it took me a while to get out the habit of chacking under toilets seats and before getting in my bed.

Could you be anymore self-loathing?

You did well getting out of the habit! I wouldn't have. In fact I do it now - always lift up the duvet before getting into bed.

Rhetorical, I assume?

Would be hard to do it any other way. But I'm the same, I'm not too scared of bugs, I'll pick up em n stuff. I just need warning before one crawls into my ear or something *shudder*.

<--- My bedroom is a zoo. The keeper touches me a night
I saw video of the best quarterback in college football getting knocked unconscious. The way his head snapped forward when he fell made for a scary few minutes until he finally sat up. Thankfully, it turned out to be a concussion instead of a neck injury. Hopefully he'll recover and lead my Alma mater to a second consecutive national championship.
Stephen Fry butt naked.
(He's a liar!)
Well bad enough anyway.
Quote: sootyj @ September 27 2009, 6:05 PM BST2 A cat being walked on a lead. Cat looked displeased and ready to scratch his hairy, hippy owner's stupid hippy face.
I saw someone carrying a cat through central London. It had its head facing out and its left paw desperately clinging onto the carrier's top. I don't know why anyone would want to carry a cat around.
Also I saw 'the pigeon lady', a woman who goes into Hyde Park carrying two giant carrier bags stuffed with (expensive) birdseed for the pigeons, who gather in flocks of several hundred, hours before she arrives. They then follow anyone around who looks a bit like her; since she always wears a fanciful black robe, any women walking down dressed in the Arab niqab gets followed by the pigeon hoard.
