Ellie has been sleeping since Friday 10am after working for 28 hours solid without a break. Event went well. Just trying to fight off inevitable illness.

My 15 year old cat Oscar, who was a high school graduation present, was taken to the vet and put to sleep yesterday by my mom. When I moved out years ago, she wouldn't let me take the cat with me. I feel the need to curl up in a ball somewhere and have a good boo-hoo.

I know.
That's rough Ellie. And illegal isn't it?
I have been working towards putting on this event for a long time. If I'd stopped working, something would have gone wrong.

Best of luck. It's so hard to stay healthy after putting your body through that.

Thanks. It hasn't been my cat for so many years that I didn't think I'd be tore up about it at the end. But 15 is a good run for a cat that wasn't supposed to live past 3. Bad heart murmur.
Aww. Well I'm sure he had a good life.
Poor kitty and poor Andrea.
I cried loads when my cat was put down. She was only a year older than me at the time... I was 14. It was the only time I've EVER seen my step-dad cry.

Poor Oscar actually lived a lie. When we picked Oscar out, we were told he was a male and he looked like he had boy kitty parts growing. Well, we go to the vet and he said something to the effect that we obviously don't know what we were looking at, because Oscar was a female. But the name stuck.
I'm giving up for the night. It's been an interesting day and I plan to be a very good girl and work hard tomorrow.
Night night Dolly
*yawns* Good night.
