I think there's loads of potential here and lots of different time travel series to take the mick out of. Eg, thought of an episode today when Jeff's Austrian exchange student, Arnold, comes to stay (Terminator).
It's definitely something I would watch as I like madcap things like this.
Loved the tippex sniff line.

Big Jeff: (mocking Austrian accent) "I'll be back."
Little Jeff: "Why do you keep saying that?"
And hey, you could even have young Jeff accidenly hurtled back to 2009 right at the end of the final episode, leaving it open for a second series.
Best not to use "flux capacitor" though as that'll be copyrighted.
Instead, you could make up weird names for the time machine parts like "fuplipian condensor" or costenzippofusion transistor."
I thought I could get away with flux capacitor because Busted used it in their song Year 3000. I was going to have a scene where Jeff has to explain how he invented the time machine, and he keeps avoiding the subject. Or, he shows Jeffrey a picture of the flux capacitor like Doc Brown does to Marty in Back To The Future, but Jeffrey says, "Yeah, three lines on a bit of paper. Is that it?"
Or something like that but funny instead. Fuplipian condensor is good. Could do anything really.
