But I'm suggesting that the attitude that women dress provocatively to attract men, might be the thin end of the wedge, which leads to the judges making these rulings, and their rulings really do impact on people, regardless of whether or not we agree with them.
But you're right, the debate is over, because I've repeated myself several times now and have nothing further to add.
I agree with your point. That's why I think it's dangerous to believe a woman is out of order to complain if she's looked at in a way she doesn't like. I think it's also imortant to point out to men that many women aren't flattered or after this sort of attention, as it seems that some don't seem to notice this.
I was attacked walking home (attempted rape) when I was 15. I didn't go to the police because I was wearing a leather mini skirt (with DMs might I add) and I honestly felt I would be told it was my own fault, because of such attitudes.

Hmm, good point. I can remember that happening once, and getting a lot of press attention (rightly so of course). But do you really feel it might happen again? I think the whole judicial system sucks on many levels to be honest.
It happens all the time! And what is the defintion of 'provocative' anyway? It seems like the Islamic way of thinking about modesty (for women) and dress.
