I love the way Renegade comes in and acts like he's the first person to have said all that. Practically all 'the ladies' were saying just that! (except less obnoxiously, naturally) ;)

I had to boil it down and wade through the estrogen. ;)

ie, you didn't read the thread, we get it. Heh. :)

:O How dare you? I read the whole thing, I even imagined you lot all clucking like hens as I tisked my way through it.

:P

Ha! Aw, I love that sound. Half the reason I wants chikkins.

I wasn't! I wasn't! But I'm older and come from the post-punk generation.

If you put on your sexiest, most leggy and cleavagely dress, your 4 inch heels, full make up and hair and not one bloke looked at you - you'd all go home and commit suicide.

Poor me, when I wear make-up down to the school gates and I'm wearing a summer dress and heels and no men look at me - or I don't even see a man - I always come home and boo my little eyes out.

Paedo. :D

Right, blokes flashing. What's that all about?

It means that it's not safe to start crossing the road.

What about if you're breastfeeding at the time? :D

I hate that. They always stare, I mean 'really' stare as if I've got horns or something.

I am not keen on bare legs because I am very VERY pale

Pale is lovely. Does anyone agree that pale skin is far more beautiful than tanned? Pale skin, dark hair and bright lipstick is a combo that made Anna on Hotel Babylon so feckin booodiful.

Racist. :)

If I understand correctly everyone seems to think that if any woman who has some cleavage showing it's okay for a man to stare at it and make a comment to her? Why does anyone have to stare or comment? If someone goes out who has a facial deformity or a phyisical disability than it's okay to stare and comment?

Personally I dress pretty conservatively these days, but I have been known to go out clubbing in, say, hotpants and a bikini top in the past. And no I wasn't wearing it to attract men (I would probably have been with my husband at the time or in a gay club). Do I feel men could then make comments about what I'm wearing? No, that's just f**king rude. Just as it's rude to point out someone is fat, etc.

It's like the assumption that you're blonde and therefore must be dumb or want to people to think you are. This pisses me off big time.

Not any cleavage, just lots. And not stare or comment, but look. (and that's women and men - I sometimes can't help but glance myself, if there's a cavernous cleavage waving at me). :)

True, but some people can't really help it. It's not a 'problem' I suffer from but I have a friend who is a larger size and has a rather magnificant bosom. If she wore high necked and/or loose tops she would have that Dawn French/ Hattie Jacques look, like she was wearing maternity clothing. Her boobs look bigger in high necked tops and so she normally wears something v-necked. Men feel they can comment on this - and I'm so sad to see why and that some women agree it's okay. :(

Like I said you wouldn't stare at someone with a large birthmark, etc, and so why can't men control their eyes at other times?

I'm not really bothered if another woman wants to wear as little as they want (I tend to underdress as I find most places far too hot) it bugs me more when women go all giggly and silly in front of men when they're not like it usually.

Ya big blimmin' lezzer!

I agree though, I have to say. Making comments is a whole new level, but you can't help but look it's a bit unfair to put people in the position where they don't know where to look.

Yeah, but would you look at someone because they had a large nose, one leg, etc?

I don't think it's fair to make this so one-sided. Many times I have seen women staring wide-eyed at well-proportioned blokes walking round in the summer with their shirts round their waistes. I'm not sure whether they're asking for it or maybe just really hot?
