I've often thought that too.

Foster scares me but not half as much as he must be scaring Fergie.

In all seriousness it is a worry - the England goalkeeping situation is a shambles.

Our number one is a 40 year-old whose nickname is "Calamity" James who plays for a team that has lost all six matches this season. After that we have Green (West Ham), Foster (Man United reserve), Kirkland (Wigan) and Scott Carson of Championship side, West Brom. Back on the fringes we also have Paul Robinson of Blackburn and even the Peterborough United U-21 keeper, Joe Lewis, who was a reserve for that match in Trinidad & Tobago last summer.

I personally think it's time to give Paul Robinson another chance. I think he's done his time for those errors and I think he's been doing OK of late and does have over 40 caps to his name. I'd certainly rather have him as back up than Foster right now.

foster looks shaky, but has pulled of some great instinct saves, e.g vs van persie

BTW, anyone taking my Man U barbs seriously can rest easily as it is purely banter and not some deep-seated resentment or hatred - life's too short.

My brother-in-law is a United fan, though he did support Forest up until the early 80s, but he just doesn't get the banter concept which both annoying and funny at the same time.

I've had levels of vitriol heaped on me in the past for daring to utter the United name in vain but as the majority of fans on here aren't Manc scum but from leafy Surrey suburbs I guess I'm in safe company. ;)

I think it should be the law that you can't support any team more than 15 miles from where you live.

Highlight of the season so far? John Motson's camp, high-pitched 'All the Way!' whilst commentating on the Chelsea v Spurs game on MOTD2.

Quality. Laughing out loud Laughing out loud

Hey, I'm a Bradford fan living in the leafy Surrey suburbs. I guess I'm just a glory-hunter...

Dan

Chappers, I like you. I never think anyone's serious until I get dogshit through the letterbox... and even then I wonder if the postman's got the wrong address.

Agreed completely!

15 miles from where you live? Bit of a problem if you move house - might be better if you said 15 miles from where you were born. What if you were born while your dad was staioned overseas...or on a ship...or a plane. What if you were born while your mother was on holiday on Stornaway?

Not as straightforward as it seems...

For anyone concerned about foster in goal:

Foster - conceded 6
saved 17
% saved 73.91
played 6

Reina - conceded 9
saved 15
% saved 62.50
played 6

cech - conceded 3
saved 6
% saved 66.67
played 6

the list goes on but you know.. its on sky sports website if anyone cares
